Activity on here seems to come in waves. A couple weeks ago people were posting like crazy and then it slowed down, and it was slow before that for a while. Just start yourself a thread some where give it a little while someone will eventually talk about it.

id be down.is this an az club only? That was my initial plan, but I got such a great response from owners and enthusiasts from all over the nation that we've decided to expand it to nationwide. We're just working on logistics now. Soon there will be a web site dedicated to the club with member pages, etc. We'll have regional chapters so they can get together on a regular basis. It should be fun.

Hey, I'm just a new guy here but.... Sounds great to me. I'm only about two hours away from Bob, so I'm in for a VA chapter. Over at 67-72ChevyTrucks where I belong also (I'm "63 & 64 Bowties" over there) they have regional meets all the time. Of course I think there's about 10,000 members, but hey....this site should be there some day too. Start small and grow.
One idea, what about having a contest to come up with a logo, then sell rear window stickers with the URL on them with the logo. Anyone interested in 60-66's will see the stickers if they're looking at your truck. Here on the east half of the country, almost every decent sized town has a "Fast Signs" franchise. If you email them your logo, they can give you a quote, make them up, and mail them to you. In my experience, they're very reasonable. If you get any made up, put me down for 4.

i was in a local Chevell e club here in Springfield Mo. In 1988 we started a regional Show. We held it again in 1989. Then we were asked by the Withita Kansas Club if they could do it so we could go their instead of them coming to us . Then the ball really took off it went to Texas Chapter then K.C then St. Louis it circles in a ring of chapters around the midwest. Then one fellow we used to watch on a spike channel on Sunday mornings started a National club over south and has a National Show once a year and all the Chevelle Clubs are now Chapters of his Club.(he do'es put out a nice monthly club newsletter though)

After the first of the year rolls around and the chaos of the holidays is over, I'm going to start going to the weekly car show at the Pavilions in Scottsdale, AZ every week (as much as possible, anyway). My goal is to drum up more interest in the club and/or forum.
I'm going to work with a good friend of mine to develop artwork for T-shirts and other merchandise that will be available online. I also plan to create a business card style template that any of you will be able to download and use to print up cards to hand out to other enthusiasts. Every time I see a 60's model Chevy, I stop and put a card under the windshield wiper (if I did that to you, and it ticked you off, I apologize).
I've really enjoyed watching this forum grow. Thanks for all of your support. I look forward to seeing those of you who can make it out to the Pavilions.

i would like to join up. i used to belong to a site for vw's before the owner shut it down and we each made our own t shirts with stencils and spray paint. i know its ghetto but it worked and easy to spot other members. we did not charge any dues. just basically a bunch of guys hanging out with the same interest.
