That would be my assumption, as well. I've never started a car club before, so this will be an adventure.

A 60-66 Truck Club sounds fine just as long as it does not get political and stays focus on the mission whatever that may be - enjoying and preserving this style of trucks, no matter the style: original/restore stock, hot rod, street rod, resto-rod, low buck hot rod trucks, etc...
I worked with Gilroy based Indian Motorcyle Company in 2000 to assist in putting together 1st of 2 factory recognized "club" riders group. It started out fun with just 18 members from No. California then it got larger, political, ego's and trash talkin face to face and on-line some of it coast to coast. Heck all I and many others wanted to do was ride with folks that had common intrest and a passion for riding. Some good times but some bad/stupid times.
All I'm sayin is that a group/club/chapters is fine just as long as it dont get stupid. KEEP IT FUN!

First, how many members have joined this site? Compile a list of those members and where they are from. Then, set up Chapters in those local areas and choose a date or dates to have them come together at a designated site (diner, restaurant, town square, etc) or a local show. Someone from that area would have to be the coordinator, of course.

Hi everyone, I am new to the club and I own a 61 Apache C20. I have done some upgrading to it, but I am planning on doing more. I would like to see some 60 and 61 chevys that have been fixed up, so that I can get some ideas about what to do with mine. Of course, one of the problems is the torsion bar front end, and also the 4:56 rear axle. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is in nreply to apache61. I recently joined the club and also have a '61 Apache C20. If you look in the General Board just above your reply, you'll see one pic of my truck. Tomorrow I will post some more pics in the Show us your ride forum.

We could do something like the HAMB does with there Alliance just not charge as much or anything, lol. Or you could do it like 60-66 Chevy Trucks East, West and North. Considering the number of people that are in this forum right now, it would be hard to do it by states. Im in Tennessee and there are probably less then 5 people on here from TN. Just a thought

I like the idea of doing it by region. I think, for the time being, we'll just have it be national. At least until we get a few more members. The forum's activity has taken a substantial dive over the last couple of weeks. I'm trying to think of ways to promote it. Any suggestions?

Something that would help in gettin the word out is when you google 60-66 chevrolet trucks the site doesnt come up. Or, for example I typed in 1965 Chevrolet Truck in google and it never came up. Getting it around on search engines more could help. Im going to search on HAMB to see if anyone has put anything there about this site, or if I can put anything on there about it with out gettin my butt kicked cuz those guys can be wound pretty tight sometimes.

Yeah, I learned the hard way that other sites can be pretty particular about sharing their members.
I don't really feel like paying for search engine priority, but I'll take a look at my meta tags and see if I can't improve them.
I appreciate your help. Let me know what you find out from HAMB.

Well, I havent got cused at by the HAMB yet. The post I put up had 56 hits, I bumped it today. I also saw a few member with trucks and sent them pm's but there are a lot of people with these trucks on there. They have a 4 page thread of pictures of just these trucks.
