so im building my 64 and have the plans to convert to disc brakes, i went and bought a parts truck that ended up being an 82 model and my plan was to take the whole front suspension off it and drill it out and tweak it to roll under my 64. but while doing some parts shopping i came acrossed these spindles on classicparts.com that im curious about.... heres the link... www.classicparts.com/1963-70-...ctinfo/76-262/so if i buy these will it eliminate me having to mess with the suspension and A-arms on my trucks and now just simply remove everything off my 82 right down to its spindles and put it right over on my 64 using these new spindles from the website? will these spindles from the classic parts mount to my 64's stock A-arms?

when adding disc brakes there are a few options 1) a complete suspension swap like you started. This is more work but you also can use the power steering, and the front end parts are easy to find and cheeper to replace. 2) spindle swap . Easy remove stock spindle ( replace ball joints if needed) add brake components. The last part of your question ''will these spindles from the classic parts mount to my 64's stock A-arms? '' Yes but make sure you order for the right year. try this link 67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=367260&highlight=disc+brake

The swap from the 82 will get you a lot more than just the brakes, the A arms are heavier, the control arms are larger diameter, the axles are larger in diameter, and the bearings are larger. If you are going to do a stock truck the spindles for the old front end are ok, If you are adding a v8 use the crossmember approach. Your truck will handle better and have beafier suspension components......Kieth
