Hey Fella's,
I've got my 64 C10 pretty much ready to go back together, and I'm starting to think wiring harness. Did a complete frame off, so I took out ALL of the old wiring.
LMC has two wiring kits: the first one is specific to the truck, and it runs about 700 bucks. The second is a general kit, and it fits most trucks from the 60's era. It cost around 350.00
My question: Is there a major difference between the two? Will the general one fill the bill, or would I be wasting money? Just wanted to see if any of you have experience with the LMC harness kits

I purchased my wiring harness kit for a 1960 chevy truck from American Auto Wiring bout 3 years ago from a hot rod shop on the web and paid under $500 bucks. I have been installing the kit on and off bout a year. (truck still under construction) Happy with the product, the kit is made for oem with updated accessories for modern trucks. It comes with all the switches on dash, dimmer switch, (except for wiper and heater switch). When you are ready to wire, start with fuse block and work your way out of cab. The kit comes in sections and separate bags. Check it out. www.americanautowire.com/60-66truck.htm

bull1966, havent finished the wiring job because I want to buy led taillights and chrome the front grill and park light lens covers, but the kit is great. The only thing I had to do is extend the 3 wires to the dimmer switch on the floor.
