I'm still in the process of rebuilding my '65 Chevrolet short bed, step side and have a question. I had the windshield wiper motor out when I had the cab media blasted and body repairs done, and before I put it back in for final assembly, I'm thinking about replacing the 43 year old motor while it is easy to access. The current motor has a 2-wire connection. I have noticed in some catalogs that there are models for the '65 with 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire connections. What are the differences? Intermittent wipers, maybe? If you're using a newer column that has intermittent wipers built into the turn signas switch, you might need those leads for that. I'm just grasping at straws, tho.

I'm using an IDIDIT column without the windshield wiper control. I plan to put an original style wiper switch in the dash. I thought that as long as I was going to replace it, I might upgrade; but I'm unsure of how to wire it with the 3 and 4 terminal motors.
Thanks for all the comments/suggestions.
