Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a newer 2 wheel drive truck that I can use the front suspension and disc brakes to upgrade my 66 chevy c20 to modern suspension and disc brakes?

73-87 chevy trucks. 70-72 will work also, but they are unique to themselves. Recommend changing the cross member, and using the entire newer suspension. The steering linkage is different so an adaption plate to fit the later model steering box is in order. A side note the lug nuts are different, so you will need to source those and a new lug wrench.

Ok I figured I would need to change all that stuff. Im going to go check out the classifieds and pick n pull to see if I can find a decent donor truck. Thanks for the info! I'll let you know if i have more questions

New member here, first post. I have a c20 custom, 8 lug setup with drums. I got the message 73-87 trucks to swap for discs. I already have the upgrade on power steering to an 80's Saginaw gearbox, from the power assist. Will the change to 73-87 discs 5 lug setup work? Specifically, if I swap the whole front suspension, crossmember and what-not from a 73-87 truck, will it all bolt up to my frame and pitman arm? Trust me, I am all rookie here, but the PS swap works like a champ, but I want to swap out as little as possible and have the 5 lug discs, or go as easy as possible to get the 5 lug disks. Sounds like the whole steering assembly would be easier, but heavier. If it will bolt right up.
