Was the Dupont hot rod black very expensive for a gallon. I wanted to go that color untill I found out how much a gallon costs. So I ended up buying black enamal paint and shot the color on the truck. Later I found a website Hot Rod Flatz with very good prices. Flatzhttp://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/hrf201.aspx Check it out. profile.imageshack.us/user/doobiebrother/images

Well thats my major concern, paid good money and the paint in person looks weak. Also scratches soooo easy, basically you cant touch it. The screwed up thing is everyone who see's the truck always always rubs the paint was thinking of flat clear, gonna head over to see lanzini the guy from overhaulin 2day get his thoughts on it.

The screwed up thing is everyone who see's the truck always always rubs the paint was thinking of flat clear, gonna head over to s ee lanzini the guy from overhaulin 2day get his thoughts on it. [/color] So I took the truck my Lanzini Body works, spoke with Mitch the owner. Let me say WHAT A GREAT GUY. Took time from his lunch break to look at the paint and give us feed back. He recommended that I just repaint the mismatched parts and repaint the area's that have over spray. Did not like the flat clear idea. Also gonna have the poor quarter panel reworked. So I had a rude awakening that the paint is now 170.00 per qrt!!!!! The flatz paint is 150 a Gallon.... Also have to go out of state to find the paint. I would have to most likely repaint entire truck if I change paint. Also run risk of overspray! So I will get the painter 3 qrts hope he will get it done RIGHT..

The turn signal lens in clear is a reproduction part, I got them from the truck shop in orange county Ca. They are like $5.00 each plus amber bulbs. LMC truck also has them.
