I got a 66 C10 and wanting to go to a five lug pattern I have a 82 C10 parts truck. Will the rear alxe of the 82 fit under the 66. Like what kind of problems will I run into? Thanks Jonathan.

It can be made to fit with some cutting and welding, also it's wider than the 66!.. Personally I would look into some axles or get yours re drilled for 5 lug, save a whole lot of hassle!...

A 71 or 72 rear axle with coil springs will bolt right up.

You can buy new 5 lug axles from CPP or Classic Enterprises for about $200 a set.

I was just trying to use the 5 lug axle from a 73 and replace my 6 lub axles, the 73 is 3/4" per side longer.....no joy......I am now drilling the 6 lug 66 axles and converting them to 5X5....
