I am in the process of adding rear disc to my 65 chevy 1/2 ton. I have the rear calipers already from an 84 Eldorado and while I know that I can use the backing plates from a late 80's full sized caddy most are a bit funky in that on one side the caliper mounts facing backwards while on the other side it faces forward and I'd rather have both facing the rear of the vehicle.
I'd rather not have to go with a CCP or Blackburn kit, I'd prefer factory parts from a full size chevy. I ran a cross a rear disc conversion on a Chevelle site that used the rear brakes off of a 98 jimmy, not sure if the bracket would fit either my axle or caliper. If anyone knows let me know.
Thanks!

you could always go with a late model 99 and up rear end that already has disc brakes on it you would just have to weld on the mounts for the springs and trailing arms and shocks.
