I'm just curious as to why the majority of our members choose not to display their location on their profile. It's very helpful, especially when buying or selling. It will also be very helpful as we figure out how to organize the club as it materializes.

I think it is neat to know a general area of the people I am talking to. In Yakima with 80,000 people, I would be difficult to find, so I feel fairly safe.

The Centeral Valley of Ca. starts at Bakersfield Ca. and goes up to the Sacramento Ca. Area from the Coast Range to the Serria Nevada Mountains. If anyone wants to know where we are located just ask me. I will tell them. What needs to be done on this matter is make it a specific location of where you live when you sign up and make it so it will not take the post until you reveal your location. 62blue Don

It should be one of the fields you're asked to fill in when you set up your account. Let me know if it's not. I'll see what I can do about that. There's only so much I can do with these forums. They only give admins so many rights.
If you don't currently have your location shown in your profile, but would like to, you can edit your profile by clicking Profile at the top of the site. Then click Modify Profile at the top of the green section. It allows you to fill in all that information, as well as tell the site what you'd like to make public or private.
If you have any other questions, let me know.
