Hi everyone I am in the middle of a 62 Chevy Short box Fleetside pickup. So far I have a rolling chassie minus shocks, drive line and hooking up the emergency brake cables. I have now started on the bed and cab. I have made a bed dolly for people with bad backs and in the process of building a adjustable cab frame dolly to get my big belly under the floor and to work on the floor boards on top. It will have swivel wheels to move it around the same as the bed dolly. The truck is going to be a daily driver to pull my boat. It has a 350cu.in. punched out to 355cu.in. Balanced,True Roller Timing Chain, with a Street Damper on the crank and a Comp Cam. Keith Black Hyperutectic Pistons with Clevite Bearings. The top end has a complete rebuild on the heads with Roller Rockers, Special Push Rods and a Performer Intake with a Edelbrock Carb. Hoping for 300hp. The Tanny is a 400 with a fresh rebuild on it. I also added Disc Brakes up front with Vacuum assist, all new bushings on the A-Arms and Tie Rods. Power Steering Box and new pump. The frame is Powder coated and it has a SS. fuel tank in the back with a 100 Micron Filter for trash from the fuel pumps. Aluminum pulleys, Bills Hot Rod brackets, and last but not least a Spal Electric Fan behind a Aluminum Radiator to cool the truck. This is where I am at so far and if anyone needs help with the steering or anything else just ask me. This is a frame off rebuild. I live in Central Calif. 67 years young with a maint. mechanical background. Well I guess I have been windy enough.
