Hi.. Where is the best place to decode the VIN number for a '63 C10. I know my truck has been repainted and it looks like the original color was an orange-ish red. The tag on the kick panel has 514A as a color code. I found a website that has a 514 code without the "A" (Cardinal Red) but when I look at some trucks on the internet that are supposedly ???Cardinal Red, they look darker. It looks like the original color is still on my firewall and it looks more orange than red. Can anyone help with advice? Thanks!

I used the LMC (http://www.lmctruck.com/) catalog to find out everything about my '64 when I first got it. Very helpful. You'll have to send off for a catalog (http://www.lmctruck.com/scripts/mgrqispi.dll?APPNAME=WebLmc&PRGNAME=CatalogRequest&ARGUMENTS=-ATK,-ACBE).
