I aquired this 1960 Apache from my Stepson who purchased it from his grandmother. The truck has been in my wifes family since 1964. I am dedicating the rebuild to my wife's father who has dimentia/alzheimers. I started on this project three years ago and it came to an abrubt stop. I am at the point now where I don't care what it takes, I am going to get it done within the next year.

It is admirable that you are dedicating the rebuild to your wife's father. Good for you!

Mine is a fleetside long bed. The chasis is nearly complete. All I need to do is attach the power steering gearbox, the sway bar, and purchase and mount the gas tank. I still have a little fabricatioin to do on the cab. Then I'll start putting things back together.
The engine had been swapped out with a 327 several years ago. I have had it bored out to max and the same with the crank. I have had the heads redone for performance. I hope to be getting 350 - 375 HP. We'll see.
