It looks like I'm the second member here, so greetings and welcome to this new site that has great potential as a resource and meeting place for owners, restorers, and enthusiasts of these cool trucks!
My truck is a 62 shortbed fleetside with a big back window, which I've spent four of the last six years restoring. It now is on a 63 chassis with an underbed gas tank, new bed floor, A/c, P/s, P/b, tilt locking column, vortec350/t350, sound system, alarm systems, and other features too numerous to mention.
I built this truck with my son and he was able to drive it to high school for a year after it was finished. When he went off to college, we purchased him a vehicle better suited to the college housing environment.
I've been a mechanic for 35 years, but made my living as a truck driver for 30. I have been heavily into v-drive boats for a number of years and created the internet's most notorious enthusiast site, v-driveboat.com, 11 years ago with my son's assistance. He has also recently helped me start Duallycrew.com, but progress is kinda slow there right now.
In addition to the 62, I currently own and wrench on a 94 crewcab dually, 72 v-drive cruiser, 04 Sportster xlc, and am currently building a Willys wagon street rod.
I learned plenty about interchangeability of these trucks during our frame-off resto (not claiming to know everything, though!) and I'd be happy to discuss or answer or brainstorm about anything that anyone wants to throw out for input.

Hey man! I just bought a 65 shortbed stepside and I have a ton of questions about it maybe you can help me. A little about me is I love older music a lot like Rockabilly, Doo Wop, Rock N' Roll and 70's Punk. MY other vehicles are a 1990 K5 Blazer and a 2003 Mercury Marauder that is now Procharged.

Hey, hope you can help me here! Got a 63 shortwide fleetside with a newly overhauled 230 I6 (thanks to my gracious ex) and I want to put power steering and A/C on it but can't find any aftermarket places that makes these items! Am I outta luck??

You should probably post this as a new topic under General Tech Q&A to get more exposure.

To answer your question, tho, there are several places to go for aftermarket parts to fit that application. Personally, however, I'd recommend just getting a used part off of an early 70's pickup. I got my power steering setup off of a '79 Chevy "Big Ten". Aftermarket parts are going to be a lot more expensive.
