my truck cab was primed when I bought it, I was going to use epoxy primer, but I am not sure, do I have to remove all the paint and primer so I can use the epoxy primer, I know this might be a dumb question, but its my first time doing body and paint work, any input would be appreciated, you can email me hamrs_62@charter.net
thanks again

Epoxy primer is like a metal sealer that prevents the metal from rusting under the paint after you paint your truck. I would take that old primer off. You dont know what kind it is and how old it is and a whole host of other things. Also if you take the primer off you can see what kind of cab you really have. It may have 5 gallons of bondo in it and you would never know if you didnt take that old primer off. If its just primer it shouldnt be very hard to get off with some stripper or laquer thinner or sanding.
