Hey Folks, If your a purist this thread is not for you Iv got a 63 totally custom retro truck and Im thinking of using a 97 z71 step side bed on it to complete the retro look. There will be no front bumper either Im making a custom spoiler,, roll pan on the rear. Anybody seen a late model bed on a 60's truck? I saw one last week at a show and it was just awsome! in a retro way

Ok, I just stuck the cab and bed on the frame and stuck a door, hood and fender on it so look past the detail. The truck will be at least 4" lower also when done. The cab is stripped and ready for paint. As you can see the lines of the late model bed work perfectly with the 63 truck. Final color will be either dark yellow or orange.

heres with about a 4 in drop and this is laying rails this one is not very good

do you have an engine in it the front needs to be lowered more than the back i angled the pic to make it level

Yes the running gear is all in,, built 350, turbo 400, 8" ford rear. Also the truck has sway bars, power steering, power brakes.

i would lower it more in the front
