When I had my cab rebuilt, (lots of rusty places with patch panels welded in); they removed my VIN plate. It is at the paint shop now, and I will need to reinstall the plate when I get it back in a couple of weeks. From what I remember, it goes on the driver's side, door pillar in front, (A-pillar???). Could someone with a '65 confirm that?
Thanks,
Harry

Mine is on the roof part of the door jam in the center on the drivers side.

Thanks, I'll put it about half-way up the "A-pillar". Mine is on the roof part of the door jam in the center on the drivers side.

The factory location of the VIN plate is in the center of the upper door jamb, where you would bang your head if you didn't duck when getting in. The best place to put it is where the existing mounting holes are located. Good luck with your project.
