Nobody makes steel hoods of any kind for a 60-66. You can find fiberglass hoods though.

No, its been awhile since Ive seen them. Somebody else here might know where to get a fiberglass one. I did a quick google search and couldn't find them but did see cowl inserts.

I have a fiberglass hood that came with the "project" when I bought it. I'm doing some reinforcing on each side before painting, and am wondering if someone makes weaker springs for the 'glass hood. The stock springs will be too strong for the 'glass hood, and I'd rather not use a prop rod after I've finished it.
Does anyone know about some weaker springs?
Thanks,
Harry

I did some more digging on the Internet, and found some from Harwood. I'll get them ordered today. harryb,I did call them and they said you would have to open it with out springs and use a rod to hold it open...I would do some reserch to see if springs off a camero or something would fit.they make springs for them....doesn't make sence but oh well.
