I made the mistake of trashing my center link a year ago for this resto-mod. Looks like now you can't buy the part new. Does anyone have one for a 66 C10 1/2T 2WD? I saw one on ebay but it appears the seller won't ship it.
Also, if you know what years are interchangeable with it that would be great!
thank ya much.

I think Ive got one. I swapped my truck to power steering and manual and p.s. are different by a lot. Dont have a clue on which ones swap out but, I would bet 64-66 are the same.

Thanks guys! Quick response, now I don't know which one of you guys to talk too.
I was under the impression that the pitman arm was the only swap when upgrading to p.s. If this is true then I would be interested in the center link from Scooter3 or lowrod64.
Dirty Donny said he's got them too. So many options now. I just hope that whatever one I get fits correctly.

I dont know if the pitman stays the same or not. When we put the p.s. setup on my truck we took the steering box and all and swapped it out. P.S. setup is shorter then the manual steering or at least the bungs are closer together. I discovered this when I removed my p.s. set up to start sandblasting my frame. I went to hook up the manual steering linkage and the wheels pointed out in the front at probably 45's. Ofcourse this can be fixed with adjusting the tie rods.

When doing the power steering swap on a 4-5-6 Chevy C10, the only steering parts that need to change is the pitman arm and the manual steering gear box...all other front suspension and steering parts remain factory. I have done this conversion on several 4-5-6 Chevy C10/K10/C20 trucks over the past several years without fail. Let me know if you have questions or you can reference this link for the play-by-play of the conversion: www.persh.org/pickup/steering.htm

I dont see how only the steering parts that need to change is just the steering box and the pitman arm. The way mine is made there is a lot more different then just that. My 66 parts truck had a stock power steering setup from the factory and the manual steering linkage that was on my truck is different then the linkage that came off the 66.

Factory power steering was called "power-assist" steering and they had a manual gear box and a hydraulic ram with the high side and return lines to a Saginaw power steering pump mounted to the lower front right side of the engine block. If a truck had this set-up, the front suspension parts are different, however if one is converting a manual steering set-up to a power steering conversion, all the front suspension and steering assembly, with the exception of the pitman arm and gear box will be utilized in the conversion. Again, I have personally done the power steering conversion on a number of 4-5-6 Chevy trucks that came originally equipped with manual steering and the idler arm, drag-link, center link, inner & outer tie-rod ends and adjusting sleeves were all used without modification during the conversion.
