Just found this forum, been reworking my 1964 going on the second year now. It is getting close and running me broke all at the same time.
Got the unit from Washington state, sold by the second owner. Which is very cool, 50k miles on it. Found all the reg. slips from 64 to present in the glove box CRAZY. So now it is about 3 years later, my vision of this unit is finally looking like something.
I have installed a ton of CCP stuff= Tubular a-arms/trialling arms/fuel tank relo/shock supports/4 wheel disc brakes/4 inch drop frt/5 inch drop rear. power steering kit/ididit steering col./battery reloc kit/springs&shock etc.
Power-train = ZZ4 GM Performance turn key create engine{headman headers}/ backed with Phoenix ZZ4 700R trans./rear end just rebuilt 373 posi.
Also gonna install Vintage Air a/c set-up. Gen IV system with Pro-Line louvers.
After 2 body shops and a ton of $$, the unit has been finished using Dupont Hod-Rod Black. Also have a black stain for the bed floor. For the wheels I got steel 17" made, covered them with the moon-eyes caps.
Have done a ton of research on vendors,parts etc. So if anyone needs any suggestions let me know..
I have posted pics. The unit is now being completed in So Cal {whittier}, but I have moved to DENVER CO last year. Which has been hard to get things done. But my good friend has been doing one hell of a job. THANKS RALPH!!
The hope to have it on the road by April of 2009..
11-19-08 = just got radiator back for test fit, then back 4 powder coat..
12-4-08 = rad. back from powder coat..

anyone know if its possible to turn my c10 into 4x4 ?
