...what kind of engine and trans. set up is everyone running? I'll start! -355: stock bottom end, .030 pistons, -Double Hump heads: had them machined to run 2.02 and 1.96 Manley valves, (it's been so long since I built the engine, I forget the specs on the springs and cam. Built for a bootyload of low end torque. -Stock 4bbl intake (for now) Quadrajet 650cfm (for now) Stock distributor. -3 speed tranny in the floor Gonna get terrible gas mileage, but I don't plan on driving it too often, so I don't care about gas, haha. My build is nothing special, just a low budget build that I had some fun with. First time building an engine that I get to see if it'll actually run. Haha, we'll see! Who's next?!

I dig this, we should have more threads like this.
Anyways Im gonna go with the 283 that came in mine. Its got the power pack heads and I like the fact of it being different from everyone with a crate 350. Im prolly gonna dress it up corvette or cadillac finned valve covers and things of that nature. Its got to be rebuilt and Ill probably bore it out just a little but not a whole lot. I figure on putting a larger carb too. I think Im gonna run the 2 speed powerglide that came in it as well, I like to be different.

Mine is not on the road yet, but it is a GM crate motor, 330hp/350ci.
Forgot to mention that I'll be using a 700R4 with the 350 and the stock 4.11 positrac rear-end.
