I'm getting all the power steering parts from the '79. Will those be more difficult?

It would also be a good idea to see if the rear end from the 71 is available. This is also a bolt in swap. You will retain the coil set up and have 5 lug to match the front. If I were you I'd be all in on the 71 front. Thats a good deal and something you can go to auto zone or somewhere like that and buy brakes, rotors, ball joints, etc. I have not had experience with conversion kits but have always wondered if you must buy replacement parts from the kit supplier or if they use standard parts. Also, I have a great OEM used inner fender I will sell you for $50 you pay shipping from 38034. I have quite a collection of good parts including:tailgates, grilles, inner fenders, doors, hood, many assorted hardware items (hood and door hinges, latches), dash parts, OE wheels, 230 I6 engine (runs great), 292 I6 engine, SM 420 4 speed transmission, many many more items I can't remember. If I can ever be of any assistance to you whether it be parts, compatibility questions, technical stuff, or just whatever, email me offline or post here and I will help any way I can.awy2 in NW TN

Unfortunately, the rear end was already gone. I'm kinda hoping to stay with a 6-bolt setup. The disc rotors from a 1988 3/4 ton front end match right up to the '71, which allows me to use a 6-bolt front. Interesting little tid bit of information I received from 'bigdog'. I wish I could go with that inner fender, but after shipping, it wouldn't be very cost effective. Same goes for that 3.73 rear end. I'm more interested in that than anything right now. I'm trying to complete the rolling chassis. You shouldn't have any trouble at all getting rid of that fender at that price, tho. You wouldn't happen to still have the headlight bezels (sometimes called 'frames'), would you? I've been looking all over the place for those things. All you can find online are chrome. I need painted. Let me know. Thanks for all the info.

Yeah. I've got several of the headlight bezels. Oddly enough all the ones I have are painted. I have absolutely no idea what they are worth. Do you?
