this is my shorty that i have build and owned for 6 years.Got it when i was 19 yrs old and is my first vehicle..took me a year to get it running and roadworthy..Did so much work on it and takin me this long to get it to this point..Spend some money on things that i ended up not using..Just couldnt make up my mind of the direction i wanted to go with it so this is where i am at now..The only thing i really want to do with it now is straighten the body out and have it painted a nice glossy light baby blue and put some new chrome bumpers and call it done..maybe add alil bit of this and that to it after or before haha..This is my daily driver for the last 5years and was gonna sell it but ended up changing my mind a 100 times..just knew deep down i would be makin a mistake..Isnt the nicest lookin probably considered the ugliest lookin but the only difference is that its my ugly truck and i kinda like it

Dont Paint It!! Thats the style now. I think it looks good the way it is. The only thing if it was mine I would do is lower the front end more. I like it the way it is. : )

thanks..Actually the front was when i had takin my 6"drop coils off but was smart enough to put em back on..So my truck has 3"drop coils front and 6"drop coils rear again..i will take a pic so you can see the different..I would love to lower it more but and if i do it will be airbags but a long times from now..

You could try some drop spindles in the front with your 3in drop springs, this would allow an easy disc brake conversion too. If you lower it too much, you have to beaware of the engine cradle and the middle cross memeber the driveshaft goes through hitting the ground. Also if you lower it alot, this may make your driveshaft hit the top of that cross member too. Early Classic has a replacement one for really lowered trucks, its like $250 not that Im pushin their stuff or anything, just got a new catalog.

I'm a little more of a purist, I guess, but I think you should paint it. I like the light blue idea. I also think it'd look good with satin black. Regardless, that's a sweet truck.

yes dave i agree..I use to be into the satin alot but just got alil over the satin black though but not sayin thats a bad color or puttin anyone down cause its still a nice color..but if i do go with the satin route then i would have to go with like a dark satin blue but other than that i would love that light glossy baby blue..I cant stand the rust that my hood is forming and people tell me to leave it but once i get money ima sand it all down throw something over it..even if its a satin black for now but evetually its gonna have that nice glossy paint.. haha i love repeating myself

I'm getting to that point of not knowing if I wanna do the shiny paint job or that satin black look. Either one of them would look awesome on these trucks. But I'm leaning more towards the metallic blueish silverish look. I'm like, "I've put all this time and money in this truck, so I'm gonna make it as shiny and noticeable as I can!" Haha!

Mine's gonna be seafoam green and white two-tone. I just wish I had more time and/or money to get it to that point.
