Hi,
Ive got a 63 with a small back window and just found a donor 63 with a big back window. Are there any recourses on swapping these out? I know I need the inner rear panel switched and I did see one where the cut the roof rear off and re welded it but thats is to much work. looks to me like you can take this inner section out and stuck it in the other truck, cut the window hole and your done.

The inside panel can be removed carefully, its just spot welded in. Remove your old panel and temporarily tack weld the Big window panel in place, use a drill and drill about four to six holes throughout the back panel and install small bolts or rivets to hold the panel in place before cutting. Trace around the inside of the big window hole , remove your panel and cut out the hole. Try to cut it out a 1/4 smaller than the pattern so you can remove any "bad areas" made by the saw or cutter with a dremel. Once the hole is trimmed down exactlly spot tack it all down and grind off the welds. Dont forget to fill the holes from the rivets. Hope this helps Ive done about 5 of these before and Now I can do them in about 2 hours. .....DD
