I have a 1964 chevy C20 3/4 ton. I have the truck down to frame and am trying to decide which route to go in regards to get it into a rolling chassis. I want coil springs front and back and dont plan on doing any heavy lifting or towing. Anyone know of a good kit or place to look into?

If you're not pressed for time, start with the basics. Take all the sheet metal off the frame, (including the cab); remove the engine, trans, and rear end. Then, get the frame sandblasted and painted or powder coated and start building up from there. Tag and bag every single part, nut, bolt, etc. You and the wire brush will become best friends. Buy a overhaul/repair manual and refer to it as necessary.
And, don't get impatient.
(Speaking from 4 1/2 years experience with my '65).

If your looking for springs I suggest Eaton Springs in Detroit. Call them up tell them what you want and they make them. Their prices are pretty resonable. You can also call them and tell them for ex. you want to lower your truck 6 inches in the back, they can make you springs just off that info.

I droped my c10 4 inches in the rear and 3 in the front. This will give the truck an even look. I got them from brothers.com
