I loaned my keys to someone and they lost all of them including the one and only key I had for my 65 Chevy. What should I do about this? The truck is locked and there is no way I can get into it. The key for the door also worked the ignition. Should I bite the bullet and have a new one cut? Should I do the old screw driver trick and get in, but ruin the handle? I think just cutting a new key would be perfect because I don't feel like replacing the ignition and door handle, but what is best? Can the common locksmith cut a key for something this old?

See if you can pull the window down, or try the coat hanger method, you might can get that little vent window open and get to the handle.

I cannot get any windows open. Looks like I might have to call a locksmith.

Before you call a locksmith also get a number to a glass guy and see what he will charge you to get a new piece of flat glass for the windiw if it is less grab a spark plug and tap away on the window. There are sets on ebay that are all keyed the same (doors, and ignition)

If you have a small back window cab, that piece of glass shouldnt be expensive because thats not a big piece of glass. If you can fit through the hole, lol

I saw on the other thread that you are in...... Remove the inside handles, armrest and door-panel and with the window rolled up, remove the screws holding the outer door handle assembly. After removal, take it to a locksmith and have THREE keys made!

My girlfriend got it open by moving the latch on the small window on the door. That saved me some cash!
