Started this about 3 weeks ago and just about have it wrapped up as of today. Replaced front cross member and centerlink with one from a 73 C10. 73-87 2.5" Mcgauney drop spindles Went with 80-87 C10 calipers for the m10x1.5 - 3/8 fittings, same fitting from 80-08 trucks. Summits 6x5.5 rotors for the newer spindles. Then hit up rock auto for all new steering components for a 85 C10 as well as a power steering gear box. Gear box mounted with Captainfabs bracket, shown in pics. Still need to drill holes for the 73-87 idler arm and front steering/suspension will be done with all new components. Truck is a frame up work in progress, literally all I had was a body and frame when I bought it Dec 26th 2019. Plan is for a 5.3/4L60e combo, truck/van motor LM7 most likely. Want a decent looking daily driver hopefully by this time next year. Still need to replace lower door skins, bottoms and a small section of hood near turn signals. Fuel system put in, paint and then move on to motor stuff and interior.

Idler arm bracket mounted, can move steering full lock each way. Next will need to be d my hard lines for brakes and flare with fittings. Install prop valve, master cyl, booster and completely replace rear drums and brake hardware. Then onto fuel system, probably try to use a 25 gallon 87-91 blazer tank like is common for the 73-87 C10 builders to do when LS swapping. Need to make my measurements and decide if it will fit, if not will use a tank made for the application. Once that is complete It might be cooling off enough to finish my bodywork. Have doors and hood still to work on, which I am hoping I can finish in 2-3 weekends. Then paint and finally everything under the hood and interior.
