Alright, all of you that have chrome trim down the sides of your trucks know where Im coming from. We know that its not chrome but aluminum with an anodized coating on it that after 40 years has made it dingy. Well Easy Bake oven cleaner will take it off. Spray it on your piece, preferably with you standing up wind, and let it sit for a while, few hours. Then wash it off and polish your part out with whatever you polish your stuff out with. It will be a pain to get polished back out. One thing to keep in mind, the oven cleaner if left to dry for a very long time will be a total b#4!h to get out of cracks like on the Custom trim on the cabs. Becareful polishing your stuff out too, this stuff is thin and if it gets caught in your buffer, well your screwed.

I stripped all the aluminum in my boat with Oven Cleaner and it's a breeze, but for it work it needs heat, I did mine in the summer when it was a 110 out, let the part get hot in the sun and spray it, hose it off in 10 minutes and it has a satin finish ready for polish!..
