My main under dash harness was cut and spliced where it goes thru the firewall at sometime. I'm tying to keep te truck original, but am having a difficult time justifying $200 for a new harness. Is there somewhere that sells the original style plugs\connectors where I might buy them and make a pigtail and solder connections to my existing wires? I know this is cheap, but when times get tough, I get cheap! It is a 66 C10 with a six cylinder 250....no gauges

I didn't see any connectors or plugs on the Painless site...only full harnesses. I'll try to call them Monday to see if they sell parts.

Sorry I'm kinda late on this..... As I stated in another thread, the wire ends that lock into the plastic plugs are available from the loose parts drawers of any good auto parts store. To get an example to match, remove one from a plug..... you insert a tiny screwdriver into the small slot next to the terminal end (in the plug) from the terminal (not the wire) side. Put it a quarter to a half inch in, then push the wire farther into the terminal towards it. you then pull the wire and it should be released. You will notice the lock tang which you flattened for removal with the screwdriver. You can bend this tang out if you want to re-insert and lock the wire end into the plug. You will need to learn these tricks if you ever intend to replace a turn signal switch without cutting the wires.

Clean the negative post and lug, reconnect and try to start again. Try it.
