First, check out the picture that I attached. I had to cut it down a lot so that it'd upload. As you can see, I have a problem. I went to change out my windshield gasket. Lo and behold, the pinch weld at the top of the window is rusted away. I don't know whether to fab my own panel or to shop around and try to find one. From all I've seen, nobody makes them (please let me know if you have a supplier), so that leaves fab-ing one. The question is, I don't know how far up I want to cut the existing panel. My original plan was to cut it at the seam where the underside of the visor meets the upper windshield panel, but I'm not sure whether I can get the right bend in the sheet metal when I make the new one. That means that I'll be attaching it at whatever point the rust sticks forward the most, but that means that any crappy welds will be covered by the new gasket. It also looks as though I'll have to make the new panel out of several pieces. Has anybody done anything like this? Do you have any suggestions? Attachments:

Hi,go to LMC trucks website or get a catalog. They sell a replacement panet for exactly what you are looking for other than the corners.A little pricy but a brand new piece to weld in. 66 Chevman
