1966 C10 350 automatic. Current transmission has to be possibly rebuilt. Does anyone have thoughts on the 5speed manual, used in late 80s, I think it is listed as NV3500?

This is a little late im sure but ill post it anyways. Everything ive seen on it is fine unless you're runnin over 500 hp. its an easy swap out though but the hydraullic clutch takes a little brainpower. driveshaft will need to be changed. and they have an electric speedo on em. i did it and so far its well worth it. fun to drive too!

I'd like to do the same with a 66 250 with three bolt starter. The 5 speed won't accept the starter and I can't bolt one to the engine as there is no mounting boss. Is there a way to do it?

Kind of late again but the 250 also has holes for the other starter.
What's involved in getting the speedometer to work?
