Hey all: I have just gotten a 63 factory 4x4 / 3/4 Ton p/u. Starting to work on it in my spare time. Many old GM vehicles in my past and hopefully many more to come. My trade is metal fabrication, I run my own shop. This seems to be from what I have read to be a good source of information, power in numbers is a beautiful thing. Thats a quick intro, many questions to come I am sure. Thanks KW.

Getting the completley new front clip, that was in boxes in the bed, assembled and lined up. Once that is done I can put the battery back in and pull it out of the shop for pix.

Okay so my Christmas eve half a day was spent with some good friends aligning a front clip and putting in about 1/2 a million bolts. Clip is on and its ready for some pics. My problem will be figuring out how to post them. Probably need my children to show me how. They are coming soon. Thanks!

Very nice Ken! What kind of shape is the running gear in? it looks pretty solid for it's age!

Thanks. The frame had at one point had some kine of plow I am guessing welded to it. The gentelman I got it from thought the proper way to remove this was with a cutting torch. I have since done frame repairs, the cross member you see down low in the very front I added as the original did not exist. It has a 350 out of a 72 3/4 Ton 4x4 truck. Tranny t-case and axles are all original. I do have a 454 w/ an SM-465 W/ an overdrive in the shop that is home less. The 465 also has a PTO on it. Not sure if that will end up in it or not. It would all have to fit in front of the existing t-case then maybe. This truck will get set up just as it is for a while. Time and money. When I get serious about it a new cab will be in order prior to paint. That will all be down the road a bit. Thanks again.
