Has anyone successfully refinished the plastic instrument panel on the GMC trucks? Did you do it yourself or send it someone? Mine has dulled and faded. It's sliver in colour but does't appear to be painted. Any suggestions?

There are places that restore gauges. I know alot of street rodders do this because obviously no one makes repos of alot of old style gauges. Heres a place for example that does that. Ive never heard of them I just googled it. www.bobsgauges.com/servlet/StoreFront

Thanks for the links! Lots of great info. I tried signing up but it rejected my gmail email address, which is all I have. I sent the webmaster an email a few days ago but haven't received any response.
I knew about the decal reface kit, although only my speedometer needs the decals replaced my fuel and temp gauge are mint. I'll keep searching as to how to refinish the plastic dash.

If the plastic bezel needs a facelift you could send it to one of the plastic chroming outfits. Here’s one that does refurbishing, and specifically on the 64-66 GMC. They also offering lens polishing: www.cvvacuumplaters.com/GM27-29.pdfThat's it! Thank you. That's exactly what I need. That's my dash panel they show and $195 is very reasonable.
