Hi--I am new to the group, not to chevy(s) as well. I have a 1966 that has the first 5 letters / digits: C1546 in the vin #. If it was C14, that would make it a half ton. Does the C15 make it a 3/4 ton? Also, is there some way to track down the original info on this pickup using the complete vin# . Thanks. This really appears to be a great website.

If its 8 lug wheels then its a 3/4 ton, also if its still got the emblems on it , a 3/4 will be C-20 a half ton would be C-10. Theres probably more but thats all the easy stuff.
