Hello All,
As with most of our trucks, the original bench is way beyond worn out. I am thinking about getting rid of it totally and replacing it with a late model version. There's an '05 from Craigslist locally and is in real good shape. What has everyone else done? Pictures would be nice if you can please.
Thanks,

When I bought my '65, the previous owner had already replaced the bench seat with some aftermarket bucket seats. They weren't a good fit so I got some from an '02 GMC regular cab (off of EBay), and am going to use them. The seat back leans forward allowing access to the area behind the seats, and I am building a console that will go from the back wall to under the dash.

You might find the following link helpful, many opinions on what bench seats work: 67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=325684I used Procar low back bucket seats. If buckets are a consideration, mine are 7 years old and remain as comfortable as when they were new. Summit Racing and Speedway both sell them.

Picking up my "new" '02 Chevy Regular Cab seat tomorrow. He wants $150, but going to try and talk him down to $100. They are black which works out perfect as the interior of mine is black and green. I'll get pictures this weekend and post them. ;D
On another note, picked up an '00 5.3 Chevy a couple of weeks ago. It came with absolutely everything! Tranny, A/C, radiator, etc. Guy was going to put it in his '68, but decided to go with an old 400 c.i. Paid $1200 for it. ;D
