1960-1961 had the custom side trim, the 1960 was the only one to have the trim behind the cab under the rear window. i do have some of the 60-61 custom cab trim.

What about the rear windows, was the big/small year specific, or an option over several years? I have the small one, and prefer it for looks, but have seen some with a much bigger one. Rear Window size was determined by location of the dealer the truck was being sent to. Small window trucks are for souther and western climates as to keep the interior a little cooler during summer months by not letting in as much light. Large window are exactly the opposite intended for northern climates.

Camper special was a 1/2 ton truck with 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck springs. It was made to have one of those in bed campers. I think it was a factory option.

New to this forum. I am wondering why the 60-61 has 2 sets of door seals when the 62-63 only have one. Is the second set needed? I put a 61 cab on my 63 frame(due to massive rot)and have 4 doors to choose from (all are in a bad way) and ordered a cab rubber kit for a 61 but do I need to use the second set of seals? I appreciate any and all info/help. Cheers.

Excellent info here. I have been admiring a Chevy pickup on the parking lot at work, according to the side badges it is a '66. It is a 4wD truck which might make it more rare. Faded red body, white cab top. If it's original powertrain etc, was 4wD that common ? Will take a closer look next time I see it, I6 or V8, transmission.
